The Music Instructor is a part-time, on-site role based at the Rhythm & Strings studio in Billerica, MA.

This role involves planning and delivering individualized lessons for students of varying ages, instruments, and skill levels, with a focus on teaching songs that align with each learner’s interests.

Day-to-day tasks include demonstrating proper technique, explaining core music theory concepts, guiding students through practice routines, and adapting teaching methods to different learning styles.

The Music Instructor will maintain clear communication with students and caregivers about progress and goals, help prepare learners for performances or personal milestones, and contribute to a welcoming, encouraging studio environment.

• Strong foundation in Music Theory and general Music knowledge to support clear, practical instruction.
• Demonstrated Music Performance skills on at least one primary instrument;
  Piano proficiency is highly beneficial.
• Experience or education in Music Education, including lesson planning and adapting instruction to diverse learners.
• Ability to work effectively with students of different ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, fostering an inclusive environment.
• Clear communication, patience, and active listening skills, with a supportive and encouraging teaching style.
• Reliability for part-time, on-site work in Billerica, MA, including consistent scheduling and punctuality.
• Prior private teaching, group instruction, or relevant performance experience is preferred.
