We are working with a fast-growing advanced manufacturing company building domestic investment casting capability for high-performance superalloy components used in aerospace and energy applications.
This is a key hire to help establish and scale a modern foundry operation from early-stage through production.
The RoleThe Senior Foundry Engineer will lead development and optimisation of investment casting processes for nickel-based superalloys and other high-temperature alloys. You will work closely with metallurgical, production, and engineering teams to build robust, repeatable manufacturing capability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimise investment casting processes for superalloy components
- Own process parameters including melting, shell building, pour, and post-cast operations
- Troubleshoot casting defects and drive root cause analysis
- Support scale-up from prototype to production volumes
- Work closely with quality and materials teams to ensure compliance and consistency
- Contribute to equipment selection, facility setup, and process design
- Drive continuous improvement across yield, cost, and performance
- Strong background in investment casting or precision casting environments
- Experience working with nickel-based superalloys (e.g. Inconel, Hastelloy or similar)
- Knowledge of high-temperature alloys and defect mechanisms
- Hands‑on foundry or manufacturing engineering experience
- Familiarity with aerospace, turbine, or high‑performance industrial components preferred
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, build‑from‑scratch environment
This is a rare opportunity to help build a next‑generation foundry capability in the US, with significant technical ownership and long‑term impact on domestic supply chain resilience.
