We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented Chemical Process Project Engineer to join our growing team. Qualified candidates are self-driven, looking to advance in their career and become a high-impact player on a team, while gaining hands‑on experience in the area of Chemical Process Project Engineering.

The Chemical Process Project Engineer will lead the design, installation, commissioning, startup, and qualification of new chemical batch processes at E Ink’s Billerica site. This role will ensure new processes are safely and effectively implemented in manufacturing while meeting quality, capacity, cost, and regulatory requirements. Following commissioning, the engineer will serve as the technical process owner, driving continuous improvement, troubleshooting, supporting OSHA PSM compliance, and developing future chemical processes and equipment solutions to meet long‑term capacity targets.

• Lead the design, installation, commissioning, startup, and qualification of new chemical batch processes, solvent recovery, and associated equipment
• Develop and maintain SOPs, commissioning plans, startup checklists, training materials, process documentation, and turnover packages for manufacturing
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues in collaboration with plant personnel, facilities, and vendors to minimize downtime and improve manufacturing performance
• Support OSHA PSM compliance activities, including Process Hazard Analyses, Management of Change, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, process safety information, operating procedures, and related engineering documentation
• Plan and execute equipment and process trials for new technologies, including defining success criteria, operating limits, and providing scale‑up recommendations
• Prepare project updates, technical reports, trial summaries, and improvement recommendations for internal stakeholders

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical process engineering, manufacturing engineering, project engineering, or a related role
• Experience designing, installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting chemical processing equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with batch chemical processes, process scale-up, equipment specification, P&w, and manufacturing startup support
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyze process data, identify root causes of problems, and implement sustainable corrective actions
