Overview

Responsibilities- Lead and support the MK‑48 Torpedo, Thin‑Lined Towed Array Handling System (TLTAHS), Next Gen SURTASS, and Saildrone array USW programs as a Sr. Staff Systems Engineer.
- Architect system designs, decompose requirements, and develop technical plans.
- Integrate and test subsystems, perform verification and validation, and produce requirement sell‑offs.
- Engage with internal and external customers, present solutions to leadership, and drive customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals, contributing to advanced technical principles and new theories.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline and 14+ years of professional experience; or an equivalent Master’s degree with 12+ years of experience.
- Experience developing new requirement specifications and flow‑down of requirements.
- Experience with system requirements management.
- System integration and test experience.
- Proven leadership experience (3+ years).
- Development of requirements verification plans, test procedures, and RTVM.
- Customer interface experience (internal or external).
Desired Skills
- Effective presentation skills to leadership and Navy customers.
- Experience with IBM Rational DOORS.
- Strong capability in developing system architectures.
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and self‑motivation.
- Continual learning mindset and strong customer focus.
- Understanding of functional area dependencies across Systems, SW, HW, MFG, PMO, Finance, and Contracts.
Requires a Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
