is seeking an Engineering Technician
to join our team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is integral to our APS Liquid Filtration assembly process, supporting both sustaining and continuous improvement activities for our commercial products.
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
What You'll Do:As part of Entegris' Manufacturing Operations team, the Engineering Technician will work closely with the production and Sr. Process Engineers team to drive initiatives to increase output, reduce scrap and rework, eliminate waste, improve overall efficiency, and ensure quality and safety are built into processes at every step.
Engineering / Operations / Equipment Support (70%)- Provide assistance in projects which improve operational efficiency and deliver savings which support corporate objectives, such as on-time delivery, productivity, scrap reduction, etc
- Ensure seamless operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by promptly addressing all equipment and processing issues.
- Provide technical troubleshooting guidance to Operators and promptly report occurrences to Engineers.
- Assist in root cause investigations, identifying and implementing corrective actions.
- Work with teams to identify problems, analyze information and develop and implement process solutions
- Assist in product disposition and failure analysis
- Drive productivity in the manufacturing process by identifying opportunities to enhance safety, quality, yield, efficiency, and/or cost, and successfully implementing improvements.
- Assist Process Engineering in the development and execution of Design of Experiment trials, new product scale-ups, and equipment installations & qualifications.
- Provide comprehensive process and equipment training to Operators in both formal and informal settings.
- Collaborate with Engineering to document and update Work Instructions, Response Flow Checklists, and other necessary documents.
- Prepare presentations and training materials as needed.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on processing equipment and coordinate with the Planning team to minimize downtime.
- Conduct equipment troubleshooting and replace defective parts using hand and power tools as necessary.
- Maintain inventories of spare parts and supplies.
- 3+ years of experience in operating/maintaining mechanical manufacturing equipment or equivalent relevant education and experience preferred.
- Proficiency in equipment maintenance/repair and basic understanding of motors, pneumatics, and production machines.
- Ability to interpret Statistical Process Control charts at a basic level.
- Strong knowledge of safe work practices and ability to support safety improvement initiatives.
- Excellent planning, organization, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- Associate degree preferred. HS Diploma required.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email required.
- Flexibility in schedule to meet manufacturing/development needs, including on-call availability and occasional travel within the US.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies
- Familiarity with equipment utilizing computerized user interfaces preferred.
- Experience with Solid Works or other CAD software.
- Experience in plastics processing, machining, and/or roll lamination preferred.
