Customer Service Representative

Job Summary

Customer Service Representative (Open) – Billerica, MA. Targeted hourly salary range: $25‑$30 with bonus opportunities. Monday‑Friday schedule with no weekend work. Airgas provides mandatory PPE and comprehensive family benefits.

• Partner with customers to provide industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and other essential supplies.
• Serve as a trusted guide, advising customers on tools, hardware, and materials needed for their projects.
• Demonstrate equipment use and share product insights to support customer solutions.
• Adhere to company safety policies and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external partners, fostering long‑term relationships.
• Ensure accurate completion of all required paperwork, including coding, costing, and pricing.
• Identify optimal tools and procedures for customers’ tasks and demonstrate equipment use to build confidence.
• Manage order entry, process transactions, and assist with deposit reconciliation.
• Coordinate phone, e‑mail, and in‑person communications to provide cost and delivery information.
• Contribute to an outgoing call strategy to support branch growth.
• Coordinate merchandise transfer between locations to meet customer needs.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere, communicating supportively with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
• Stock shelves and maintain showroom displays for an excellent customer experience.
• Coordinate cylinder movement and pallet organization.

• Required: HS Diploma or equivalent; minimum 2+ years in product, warehouse, or sales environments; excellent customer service skills; ability to thrive in fast‑paced setting; attention to detail in transaction handling; availability for occasional overtime; must operate in a drug‑free workplace.
• Preferred: Background in gas, welding, or safety supplies; familiarity with SAP, Google, or MS Office; detailed understanding of SAP and PROS functionalities; clear, warm communication with diverse audiences.

• Annual salary range $25‑$30 per hour with bonus potential.
