Belmont Medical Technologies is seeking a highly analytical and business-oriented Manufacturing & Operations Finance Manager to serve as a key finance partner across manufacturing, supply chain, and operations. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, this role combines operational finance, cost accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and business partnering responsibilities to drive profitability, operational performance, and strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys moving beyond traditional accounting responsibilities to influence business outcomes. This individual will own standard costing, inventory accounting, manufacturing budgeting, forecasting, gross margin analysis, and operational performance reporting while partnering closely with leaders across the organization.
This position offers broad exposure to executive leadership and will play a critical role in supporting Belmont's growth strategy and operational excellence initiatives. Someone poised for success in this role will be comfortable discussing manufacturing variances with operations leaders and gross margin performance with senior leadership. They will combine strong accounting fundamentals with business acumen to translate financial results into actionable insights.

Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing finance, operational finance, FP&A, cost accounting, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of standard and average costing, inventory accounting, absorption accounting, and manufacturing financial processes.
- Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to both finance and non-finance audiences.
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent professional certification.
- Medical device, healthcare, manufacturing, or other regulated industry experience.
- Experience working within a private equity-backed organization.
- Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence/reporting tools.
- Experience supporting both operational and commercial organizations.
Operations Finance & Cost Accounting
- Own and maintain product standard costs, bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and manufacturing cost structures.
- Lead routine standard cost updates and periodic cost reviews.
- Manage inventory valuation processes and ensure accurate inventory accounting.
- Analyze manufacturing variances, including material, labor, overhead, purchase price, and production variances.
- Own absorption accounting processes and ensure accurate overhead allocation methodologies.
- Partner with operations leaders to improve cost visibility and operational efficiency.
- Develop financial analyses supporting manufacturing productivity, inventory optimization, and operational performance improvements.
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for manufacturing, operations, and COGS-related departments.
- Develop and maintain COGS forecasts and operational spending projections.
- Build and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
- Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
- Support long-range planning and strategic initiatives.
- Own gross margin reporting and analysis across products, customers, and business segments.
- Lead monthly variance analysis and provide clear explanations of operating results.
- Analyze profitability drivers and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Present financial results and business insights to senior leadership.
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools that enhance visibility into operational and financial performance.
- Serve as the primary finance business partner to manufacturing, supply chain, and operations.
- Support product costing analysis, customer profitability initiatives, and cost evaluations for new product introductions.
- Evaluate business cases, capital investments, and operational improvement opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within finance and across the broader organization.
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic projects that support growth and value creation.
