The HR Administrator plays a key role in supporting employees and ensuring accurate, timely processing of HR information at the site level. Serving as a first point of contact for employee questions, this role manages a wide range of administrative HR functions, including onboarding and offboarding, employee data management, and coordination with payroll and benefits teams. The HR Administrator supports daily HR operations while ensuring compliance with employment regulations and company policies in a fast‑paced environment.

This position requires a strong customer‑service mindset, excellent organizational skills, and comfort working across multiple systems and platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding, including:
  • Preparing new hires for Day One and communicating onboarding expectations
  • Coordinating new hire orientation, documentation, and system access
  • Supporting employee exits through exit meetings, interviews, final pay coordination, and required documentation
  • Processing unemployment requests and termination paperwork in compliance with regulations
  • Enter and maintain accurate employee data throughout the employee lifecycle, including new hires, transfers, promotions, status changes, and terminations across multiple HR systems (e.g., HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, and contingent workforce platforms)
  • Support payroll processes by ensuring employee changes are entered accurately and in alignment with payroll deadlines
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant employee records in both electronic and physical formats, including organization and upkeep of filing systems
  • Act as a front‑line HR resource by responding to employee questions related to HR processes, data updates, and routine inquiries with professionalism and responsiveness
  • Assist with HR operations and initiatives by:
  • Supporting HR policies, procedures, and internal communications
  • Providing administrative support for HR programs, projects, and audits
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and assisting with documentation
  • Partner closely with HR leadership, HR Business Partners, Payroll, Benefits, HRIS, and Talent Acquisition teams to support day‑to‑day HR activities
  • Prepare standard and ad hoc HR reports to support business and compliance needs
  • Ensure HR practices and documentation comply with federal, state, county, and local employment laws, as well as internal company policies
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred (Bachelor’s degree a plus); equivalent HR administrative experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 2–4 years of experience in an HR administrative, HR coordinator, or similar support role, ideally in a fast‑paced environment
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance practices
  • Experience using HRIS and payroll systems; exposure to global HR systems is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (intermediate to advanced skills such as formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs), Word, and Power Point
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service via phone, email, and in person
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of administrative tasks and HR projects
  • Professional, positive, and service‑focused approach with a commitment to supporting employees and business goals
