Role Overview
We are looking for a curious, data-driven early-career professional to join as our founding Business Intelligence Analyst. This is a “second-job“ opportunity — we expect you to have 1–2 years of real experience and be ready to own data end-to-end across our organization. You will be the single source of truth for data across Hub Spot, Shopify, and Quick Books, and you will build the dashboards, KPIs, and reports that power our finance, sales, education, and operations teams.
Critically, we want someone who actively uses AI agent tools in their workflow. You should be comfortable leveraging tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Notion AI, or similar AI-assisted platforms to automate repetitive analysis, generate insights faster, and build scalable reporting — not someone who is just curious about AI, but someone already doing it.
AI & Technology Proficiency (Required)- Strong, hands-on understanding of AI agent tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Notion AI, or similar)
- Ability to use AI to automate data cleaning, report generation, and insight summarization
- Experience building or adapting AI-assisted workflows for business analysis
- Comfortable evaluating and adopting new AI tools as the landscape evolves
- Proficiency in Hub Spot, Shopify, and Quick Books (or eager to master all three quickly)
- Excel / Google Sheets power user; experience with a BI tool (Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- SQL knowledge is a strong plus;
Python or no-code automation tools are a bonus
- Own data accuracy and consistency across Hub Spot, Shopify, and Quick Books
- Build and enforce data validation rules, deduplication standards, and field-mapping protocols
- Monitor data pipelines and catch discrepancies before they reach reports or leadership
- Create and maintain a shared data dictionary with clear definitions for all metrics
- Calculate and track COGS across product lines and time periods
- Build financial forecasting models and scenario planning tools
- Develop financial KPIs and dashboards for leadership (margin, revenue targets, burn rate)
- Support monthly and quarterly close with reconciled data exports from all platforms
- Design and maintain sales KPI dashboards: pipeline, close rate, deal velocity, quota attainment
- Track regional and territory performance vs. goals; surface over- and under-performing areas
- Deliver weekly data packages and forecast visibility to reps and sales leadership
- Identify upsell, cross-sell, and retention opportunities from behavioral and transactional data
- Collect and manage class attendance, enrollment, and completion data across all programs
- Track participant engagement metrics and class capacity utilization
- Log and report adverse events related to education programs in compliance with applicable standards
- Maintain a structured Q&A data repository from classes to identify trends and improve content
- Generate periodic education reports to support program review and leadership decision-making
- Build and maintain self-serve dashboards for each department: finance, sales, education, operations
- Create a consolidated executive dashboard with cross-functional KPIs for leadership
- Establish a reporting cadence (daily, weekly, monthly) tailored to each team’s needs
- Present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders including the CEO
Required
- 1–2 years of experience in data analytics, BI, or a related role (second job, not entry-entry)
- Active daily user of AI agent tools in a professional context
- Solid grasp of financial metrics, COGS, and basic forecasting
- Strong attention to data accuracy, definitions, and documentation
- Clear communicator who can translate data into plain language
- Experience with Hub Spot CRM, Shopify, and/or Quick Books
- SQL or Python for data transformation
- Background in sales operations or revenue operations
- Experience supporting education, training, or healthcare programs
- Familiarity with adverse event reporting frameworks
- Experience building or managing BI dashboards end-to-end
- A seat at the table — you will report directly to the CFO and influence company strategy
- Full ownership of the data function from day one
- A team that values speed, curiosity, and entrepreneurship
