CNC Manufacturing Operations Manager

Billerica, MA | $145,000–$185,000 + Bonus

Requirements & Qualifications
  • 8+ years of manufacturing leadership experience within CNC machining
  • Strong knowledge of CNC milling and turning operations
  • Experience managing multiple teams, departments, or shifts
  • Background in production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Proven success improving productivity, quality, and operational performance
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
Must Haves
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, medical device, semiconductor, or other precision manufacturing environments
  • Lead daily operations across CNC milling and turning departments
  • Drive production performance through effective scheduling, labor planning, and workflow management
  • Develop supervisors, machinists, and future leaders through coaching and cross-training
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve manufacturing challenges
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives that increase throughput, efficiency, and quality
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and operational excellence
Preferred Background & Skills
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience
  • ERP/MRP system proficiency
  • Experience leading organizational change, growth, or process improvement initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field preferred
