CNC Programmer – Aerospace Manufacturing

Location: Billerica, MA

A leading aerospace manufacturing company in Billerica, MA is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join its engineering team. This role is responsible for developing, verifying, and optimizing CNC programs for complex aerospace components while supporting continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop CNC programs for 3, 4, and 5‑axis milling, turning, and mill‑turn equipment.
  • Program and simulate machining operations using Mastercam.
  • Create setup sheets, tool sheets, operation plans, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Support new product introductions and product transfer activities.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers and Machinists to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Optimize machining processes to reduce setup and cycle times.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards.
Qualifications Required
  • 5+ years of CNC Programming experience.
  • 3+ years of Mastercam programming and simulation experience.
  • 5–10 years of machine shop experience.
  • Strong knowledge of machining aerospace alloys, including Inconel and steel.
  • Expertise in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience with tooling selection, process planning, and manufacturing improvements.
Preferred
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
