R Production Associate (Cylinder Loader) (Open)

Location:

Billerica, MA - Filling industrial

• Load and unload high‑pressure and liquid cylinders on/off trucks in compliance with federal, state, local regulations.
• Meet all safety standards in loading and unloading of cylinder gases per Airgas procedures.
• Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following procedures to meet safety benchmarks.
• Maintain awareness of safety protocols for various gases; read cylinder labels and color codes to identify size and contents.
• Comply with government and company standards for safe handling of materials and cylinder gases.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment to support site operations.
• Load/unload cylinders on/off vehicles using hand truck or chain hoist; maintain records of type and quantity.
• Securely load/unload cylinders on/off pallets with proper restraints.
• Inspect returned cylinders for defects; perform minor maintenance and detailed inspection prior to filling.
• Move cylinders to designated work areas using safe methods.
• Identify and segregate out-of-test or defective cylinders to maintain quality.
• Prepare cylinders for reuse by removing old labels and cleaning.
• Support other team needs to ensure a collaborative environment.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude.

• Experience with SAP or similar ERP system (preferred).
• Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office.
• Ability to perform arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, decimals; compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Commitment to Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and related rules and procedures.
• Minimum of 1 year of related technical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
