** Duties and Responsibilities**
* ** Team Leadership:
** Directs the daily work of assembly teams, spanning several operational areas to fully accommodate manufacturing needs.
* ** Program Management:
** Takes ownership of program management for a key, high-profile product line, managing the assembly process from start to finish.
* ** Production Coordination:
** Supervises overall production by collaborating daily with customer service, production control, and paint shop management.
* ** Quality & Engineering:
** Oversees ultimate product quality, designs/develops assembly operations for new production lines, and relentlessly improves existing processes for peak efficiency.
* ** Workforce Planning:
** Reviews forecasts for upcoming production needs, runs open order reports, properly assigns tasks, and ensures team members are continuously cross-training to build a flexible workforce.
* ** Performance & Metrics:
** Analyzes area performance results to drive continuous improvement activities that meet or exceed safety, productivity, quality, and uptime goals.
* ** Talent Development:
** Conducts Associate performance reviews, identifies skills gaps, creates individual development plans, and manages team time and attendance according to company policy.
* ** Workplace Excellence:
** Attends daily production meetings to report out on project status, review order fulfillment, and handle known downtime or quality issues. Performs daily 5S audits to maintain an optimal, safe floor.
