Job Summary:

This position performs the day-to-day inspection of Nova Meter products, including completed meters, loaded PCB assemblies, molded meter components, carry cases, printed media such as quick guides, insert sheets, labels, and CDs using department equipment. The objective is to assure that only product that fulfills requirements is utilized in Novas products and to detect and non-conforming product. Write non-conforming reports (NCMRs) for product out of tolerance.

Monitor daily critical list requirements and assist other departments as needed. Perform first articles when required. Under general supervision and following established procedures and guidelines, this position supplies assistance and support to manufacturing operations in hospital and consumer meter areas. Support QC inspection of Meter products in following Novas OIs to provide release of Meter products.

Responsibilities:

* Perform measurements of machined or molded components using proper set ups and measurement equipment

* Be a team player willing to perform multiple tasks in both QA and QC departments

* Work in group situations with engineers, machinists, and assemblers

* Perform line clearance activities and label approvals for meter production builds including RMA

* Test instrumentation for Nova Meter product lines

* Pull AQL samples from incoming materials according to inspection plans

* Record test data accurately and in accordance with established test procedures

* Perform troubleshooting independently for Meter failures

* QC inspection and release of Meter products

* Assist in evaluations and pilot testing

* Differentiate between system and product failures

* Help with department personnel training

* Maintain test equipment

Experience Requirements:

* Certification or licensing standards, experience and basic knowledge requirements.

* Familiar with FDA GMP regulations

* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

* Familiarity with most inspection equipment which includes, but is not limited to Coordinate Measuring Machine, OGP, micrometer, and calipers.

* Basic math skills

* Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

* Familiar with most raw material QC inspection equipment

* Good verbal and written communication skills

* SAP experience is a plus

* Good people skills, a team player

* Able to work with minimum supervision

* High School degree or GED

* Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (e.g., noise, temperature, equipment).

* Ability to operate tools, machinery, or technical equipment.

* Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) required.

Work Location:

on-site in our Lexington RD facility 5 days/week (M-F)

Targeted Salary Range: $27 - $31/hour

Working Hours:

6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
