Job Title: QA Chemist (M-F, 2:30pm-10:30pm)
OverviewOur site in Billerica, MA is seeking a QA Chemist (Scientist I) to join our team. Monday-Friday, 2pm-10:30pm. The QA Chemist is responsible for conducting QA testing and will provide analytical support for manufacturing production of our micro‑contamination control and membrane products, as well as limited R&D development support. The QA Chemist will prepare, load, and test samples using ICP‑MS, ion chromatography, TOC, NVR, and Karl Fischer.
Responsibilities- Work in a clean room environment to conduct routine QA product testing of filtration and membrane products from manufacturing.
- Complete routine testing independently following established priorities.
- Follow and document standard operating procedures for conducting required tests.
- Prepare samples for analysis and load instrumentation.
- Analyze and interpret test data, maintain documentation of test operation, and ensure data quality and integrity.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
- Work on individual projects as assigned by a supervisor.
- Remove and dispose of waste chemicals in accordance with company established safety procedures and work to maintain a safe work environment.
- Handle requests appropriately and in a timely manner.
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Strong internship/co‑op (or work) experience in a related field.
- Strong scientific approach and high attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate and successfully work in a team environment.
- Able to work independently and follow established priorities.
- Experience running analytical instrumentation is a plus.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills will elevate a candidate.
- Previous cleanroom experience is preferred but not required.
- Compensation: $63,000 - $79,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
