Starting Date: Immediately

Monday-Friday: 6:30am-3:00pm. Overtime as needed on HVAC equipment.

Reports to:

Director of Facilities and Assistant Director of Facilities.

• Valid EPA-approved CFC Certificate and Journeyman’s Massachusetts HVAC-R Licenses.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HVAC Tech working in an industrial, commercial, or school environment.
• OSHA 10 Certified.
• Able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Solid understanding and experience in maintenance and repair of gas-fired boilers, equipment, and steam systems.
• Experience with pneumatic control systems.
• Experience with steam boiler maintenance and repair.
• Broad knowledge of plumbing, sheet metal, and electrical trades.
• Can work alone and safely use ladders, lifts, and other equipment.
• Available for extra hours and emergencies.
• Can read prints and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge and ability to use hand and power tools.
• Collaborates well and contributes to a welcoming, positive work environment.

• Upkeep, repair, and installation of all HVAC-R equipment and related systems, including pumps and pneumatic temperature control systems.
• Work knowledge of BAS systems to troubleshoot controls and work with an outside BAS controls contractor.
• Perform general and routine inspections for predictive and preventive HVAC systems.
• Keep accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC-R resources.
• Make recommendations for improvements related to HVAC systems.
• Assist the Director of Facilities or designee in determining if an outside vendor is needed.
• Assist and track the digital PM program and work order systems to ensure timely completion.
• Work with outside vendors to ensure proper HVAC-R work.
• Safely perform duties following safety guidelines.
• Perform additional HVAC-related duties as assigned.

12-month work year.
