Job SummaryThe POC Order Processor Shipper is responsible for performing the part verification, packaging, and shipping of domestic and international orders and ensuring all items are accurately accounted for. They generate shipping documentation, contact freight carriers for pickup, and pick customer orders using handheld barcode scanners and an automated picking system. The role also involves operating various material handling equipment related to warehousing activities.
ResponsibilitiesOrder Processor
- Pick international and domestic customer orders using handheld scanners and automated picking system.
- Fill all internal requisitions, including requests from R&D, reagents, QC, tech services, etc.
- Perform cycle counts.
- Inventory put‑away from manufacturing and inter‑plant shipments.
- Help maintain non‑inventory packaging and shipping material levels.
- Perform location audits and cycle counts.
- Maintain location integrity and FIFO (First in first out) practices when picking, moving, or storing material.
- Check customer orders for accuracy.
- Package orders to ensure safe and damage‑free shipment, meeting customer specific requirements.
- Generate bill of lading for truck shipments and record seal numbers as needed.
- Load international and domestic customer shipments with freight carriers upon their arrival daily and have the driver sign for shipment(s).
- Contact carriers as needed.
- Ensure proper labeling, packing and manifestation of dangerous goods shipments.
- Complete the end‑of‑night checklist.
- Assist with training and the development of new employees.
- Review key punching accuracy.
- Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe working environment and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Use practical approaches when problem solving.
- Organize and maintain appropriate records.
- Carry out any task assigned by management deemed relevant to the position.
- Back‑fill within the department due to absenteeism/vacation of other employees.
- Excellent verbal, written, and reading communication in English.
- At least 2 years of experience in warehousing, shipping/receiving, delivery or related work.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions including standing, walking, lifting, and bending for an 8‑hour shift.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of Inventory Management Systems preferred.
- High accuracy and excellent organizational skills.
- Self‑starter with ability to work with little supervision.
- Adapt quickly to new skills and generate improvement ideas without prompting.
- Strong time‑management skills and sense of urgency.
- Operate specialized warehousing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail; follow verbal and written instructions.
- Reliable with a positive, can‑do attitude.
- Team player.
- Quality system requirements knowledge preferred.
- Some experience with UPS World Ship, Fed Ex, or USPS shipping.
- Basic computer skills;
Microsoft Office a plus. - SAP experience strongly recommended.
- High standard for personal performance.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Perform repetitive motions including standing, walking, lifting, and bending for an 8‑hour shift.
Lifting up to 50 lbs.

Targeted Salary Range: $23/hr
