$20.74/hour for 90 work‑day probationary period; then $23.04/hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMay include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
PROVIDES DAILY/ON-GOING ACCOUNTING DUTIES BY- Processing paid invoices and accounts payable payments
- Process and maintain vendors
- Process and maintain purchase orders
- Printing accounts payable checks and reports
- Preparing and entering journals to move budgets, transfer expenditures and revenues, and void warrants
- Recording Accts Receivable and cash receipts and reporting to County Treasurer.
- Setting up balance sheets, expenditure and revenue codes and budgets
- Setting up general ledger information for Bi-Tech computer system
- Reconciling accounts
- Preparing and entering journals
- Gift certificates: get lists of recipients to attach to the copy of the warrant
- Group admissions: get lists of attendees to attach to the copy of the warrant
- Student incentives: get lists of recipients to attach to the copy of the warrant
- MAC: run reports and prepare spreadsheets used to complete quarterly report
- Maintaining lists of cell phones and preparing a journal to charge schools or departments for their use
- Running budget check registers
- Fixed assets – maintain list of machinery and equipment that agrees with the general ledger
- Going through detail transaction reports, corresponding with administrators and correcting transaction errors
- Prepare various worksheets for the audit
- MAC: run reports and prepare spreadsheets used to complete quarterly report
- Enrollment: collect data from schools to submit semi-annual reports to OPI
- Records retention: maintaining lists of records to be retained or disposed of. Preparing notices of records to be destroyed.
To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma and college accounting coursework; two years accounting experience and/or combination of education and experience; special knowledge, skills and abilities in accounting procedures, computers and printers, and communication.
