Mark Rite Lines is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our accounting team in Billings, Montana. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early‑career professional looking to gain hands‑on experience and build a strong foundation in corporate accounting. In this role, you’ll support day‑to‑day accounting functions, assist with financial processes, and work closely with experienced team members to develop your skills.

This is a great opportunity to learn across multiple areas of accounting while contributing to accurate financial reporting and company operations.

• Assist with preparing and posting journal entries.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with general ledger reconciliations.
• Help maintain and update fixed asset records.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Support preparation of financial reports and internal schedules.
• Assist with audits by gathering requested documentation.
• Identify discrepancies and elevate issues as needed.
• Participate in process improvements and other accounting‑related tasks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress).
• 0–2 years of accounting experience (internships or coursework accepted).
• Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Internship or prior exposure to accounting environments.
• Familiarity with ERP or accounting software (Net Suite, SAP, Quick Books, etc.).
• Interest in pursuing CPA or other professional certification.

• Full‑time, Monday–Friday.
• Hourly, non‑exempt.
