In this position, you will provide broad creative visions and detailed solutions using knowledge of programming, space planning and construction documentation. You will also develop designs and technical solutions under the direct supervision of an experienced Interior Designer. You will be called upon to work in partnership with talented designers, architects, engineers, and business professionals.
Position Salary Range*The expected salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 annually.
Required Qualifications **- Bachelor’s Degree from a CIDA accredited University
- 3-5 years’ job-related experience
- Working towards NCIDQ Certification
- Basic knowledge of furniture, finishes, and materials, and have the ability to make selections and specifications for a variety of project types
- Basic knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Outlook, Sketch Up or similar rendering software
- Collaborate with Interior Design, Architecture, MEP, and other design professionals to create integrated and cohesive design solutions
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates to support project success and demonstrate design intent
- Participate in all phases of project delivery, including programming, conceptual design, space planning, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
- Develop and refine design skills through hands-on project experience and mentorship
- Apply problem-solving skills to support thoughtful, effective design solutions
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a collaborative team environment
- Convey design ideas clearly through graphic, visual, and verbal communication methods
- Organize and maintain materials library and conduct product research
- Conduct materials research and assist with specification preparation and documentation
- Assist with cost estimating, including takeoffs and data input
- Support construction administration efforts, including submittal review, RFIs, and project correspondence
- Assist with or participate in on-site construction observation for select projects
