Position:
Physician Assistant – Cardiothoracic Surgery
Location:
Level I Trauma Center (Montana)
Shift: Flexible 12‑hour shifts (day and night available). 7 on / 7 off (7 AM – 7 PM & 7 PM – 7 AM). Multiple shift openings available on an ongoing basis. Immediate start dates available – expedited credentialing within 5‑7 days.
Schedule12‑hour shifts; 7 on / 7 off; day and night shifts.
Patient VolumeApproximately 10 patients per day.
Case Responsibilities- ICU rounding – pre‑ and post‑operative care for cardiac and thoracic surgery patients.
- Ventilator management – oversee patients as they transition off mechanical ventilation.
- Surgical patient care – manage open‑heart, VATS (video‑assisted thoracoscopic surgery), and lung cases as they recover post‑operatively.
- ACLS & BLS required.
Work alongside a dedicated team of cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, and specialized nursing staff.
Credentialing TimeframeFast‑track process – approval within 5‑7 days.
EMR SystemEpic.
Licensing RequirementsActive MT license or IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) eligibility.
