Position: Teaching Assistant I

Role Description

This on-site, full-time Teaching Assistant I position is based in Billings, MT. The Teaching Assistant I will support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality education to young children and fostering a positive learning environment. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and implementation of lesson plans, maintaining classroom organization, supporting individual and group activities, and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment. The Teaching Assistant I will also assist in monitoring children's development, communicating with families, and supporting program goals.

Qualifications
  • Experience in child development, early childhood education, or supporting educational activities for young learners
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members
  • Organizational skills to maintain classroom materials and support lesson planning
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators and adapt to the needs of the classroom
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; coursework or training in Early Childhood Education is preferred
  • Knowledge of child safety and health practices, along with a commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment
  • First Aid and CPR Certification or willingness to obtain one
  • Passion for supporting the growth and development of young children
