Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
General
• Vigorously upholds a culture of academic integrity.
• A commitment to continuous quality improvement.
Teaching
• Instructional preparation and teaching of assigned courses in related health curriculum.
• Facilitate the learning process that creates a safe non-threatening climate which supports learning across the Human Anatomy and Physiology and related health curriculum.
• Participate in assessment of student learning activities to maximize the potential for students to learn what is necessary to meet course and health program(s) outcomes.
• Support student success, including office hours and student advising. Service
• Collaborate with Jacket Student Central and the Department Chair to schedule courses that align with student demand.
• Collaborate with Jacket Student Central on issues of student advising.
• Assist program faculty in advisement of students with complex or serious problems.
• Serve on committees contributing to the growth of City College, and Montana State University Billings. Scholarly Activities
• Participate in professional organizations.
• Maintain appropriate certifications and licenses.
• Maintain proficiency in teaching and specialty expertise.
• Maintain expertise in healthcare education.
• Attend selected professional development activities.
• Serve on civic engagement projects. QUALITIES:
• A demonstratable understanding of Human Anatomy and Physiology.
• Knowledge of the mission of postsecondary technical education.
