SUBSTITUTE INSTRUCTIONAL PARAPROFESSIONAL

$15.00 an hour for Substitutes

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required for Substitute IPP positions.

For permanent IPP positions, a minimum education level required is 60 semester credits from an accredited college/university or take the Work Keys Test at the Lincoln Center, Adult Education, for $60.00. To schedule the Work Keys Test, call 281-5007 or email lynchla.

Job Description:

Assist teachers in the classroom

* Performs instructional activities as planned, assigned and organized by professional staff for individual and/or small groups of students

* Works with the teacher with students who need to learn positive behaviors in order to be successful in the classroom setting

* Helps in the selection, preparation and organization of materials appropriate to students' needs in accordance with designated lessons

* Collects data and reports student progress to the teacher

* Must have previous experience working with children

* Requires a High School graduate or equivalent
