BriefPosition Overview
The College of Education, Department of Education Theory and Practice at Montana State University Billings seeks a qualified candidate a) to teach undergraduate and graduate foundation courses, advise students, and supervise students in the field (.50) and b) to serve as an accreditation coordinator (.50). Candidates must hold a doctoral level degree in education. We seek a candidate who shares our commitment to serving diverse students, inclusive education, effective practices in teaching (including the integration of appropriate technology), and culturally sustaining/revitalizing pedagogy.
A successful candidate can teach online and face-to-face courses across a variety of programs. Candidates should also offer evidence of the capacity to engage with colleagues in collaborative work.

- Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Education. ABD candidates are also eligible but must be completed with their degree within 18 months of hire
- Evidence of successful teaching in a higher education setting
- Experience teaching in a P-12 setting for at least 3 years
- Evidence of potential for scholarly activity
- Evidence of commitment to diversity and inclusivity
- Experience with analyzing and working with large data sets
- Experience working with state and national accreditation
- Evidence of experience with data management software
- Specialized knowledge in the field of education foundations
