  • $50,000-$85,000 base pay (Compensation for this role is based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location)

THE ROLE

In this role, the Representative provides on-site construction observation on heavy civil projects and acts as a liaison between the construction site and the engineering team. These responsibilities include:

  • Review construction plans and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and project requirements.
  • Conduct on-site, documented observation to monitor construction progress, quality and general compliance with design plans and specifications.
  • Document and report any deviations from project requirements
  • Performs basic surveying, testing and quantity measurements
  • Address any issues or concerns that arise during construction.
  • Communicate project updates and milestones to stakeholders.
  • Keep detailed records of daily activities and produce regular progress reports for project management.

YOUR STRENGTHS
  • 3+ years of experience in civil engineering inspection or heavy construction-related work
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction site practices and safety protocols
  • Formal education in civil engineering, construction technology or civil engineering technology preferred
  • Strong communication, both verbal and written
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record
  • Capable of working outside in the field and, at times, in remote locations at the project site for the duration of the project
  • Travel to and from the project site for extended periods of time. Possibly longer assignments may be required up to months at a time.
