Job SummaryThe Teller will be responsible for daily teller transactions in both the lobby and drive‑up locations of the branch. This position also supports other branches in Eastern Montana and focuses on providing outstanding client service, developing client relationships, and identifying cross‑sell opportunities.
Responsibilities- Process deposits and loan payments, cash checks, and savings withdrawals.
- Record night and mail deposits, sell cashier’s checks, and redeem savings bonds.
- Answer client questions in person and over the telephone.
- Prepare currency transaction reports and reconcile cash drawers.
- Handle additional transactions such as closing accounts, ordering checks, exchanging foreign currency, and performing safe‑deposit box procedures.
- Identify cross‑sell and referral opportunities and refer clients to bankers.
- Use 360
View to document activities, incidents, and referrals. - Process consumer credit card applications.
- Maintain client confidentiality and comply with bank security procedures.
- Participate in dual‑control functions, audit teller currency, and assist in certification of proof.
- Attend training sessions and contribute to client service and bank success.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in a cash‑handling role preferred.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Dexterity of hands/fingers to operate computer keyboard and mouse – Frequently Handling – Frequently Hearing – Frequently Lifting – Occasionally Sitting – Occasionally Standing – Frequently Talking – Frequently Walking – Occasionally Noise Level – Moderate. Typical work hours vary based on scheduling and business need. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
