Position: Personal Banker Associate I - Lockwood

Personal Banker Associate I – Lockwood

General function:
Selected candidates will become a Retail Personal Banker I after completing a 4‑8 week onboarding program with rotations in operations and Sales & Service. The program culminates in certification that demonstrates the skills needed to perform within the Retail Personal Banker job family.

The Person al Banker I is a Financial Center position focused on using the consultative sales process to proactively identify and meet the financial needs of existing or prospective customers. Responsibilities include acquiring new households and deepening existing customer relationships through activities such as lobby leadership, aisle time, tele‑consulting, teller transactions, and platform staff duties. The role is accountable for risk, policy compliance, customer experience, and revenue growth.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build a thorough customer profile and identify current and future financial needs.
  • Maintain in‑depth knowledge of Retail consumer and small business products/services and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Utilize CAMP and other approved marketing tools to proactively reach out and set appointments for periodic financial reviews.
  • Primarily focus on cross‑selling to existing customers and engaging in outside sales activities (e.g., Membership Advantage presentations, business sales calls, community financial literacy events) as directed.
  • Establish close working relationships with assigned Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment) and refer customers for holistic solutions.
  • Consistently meet or exceed customer experience and individual/team production goals, supporting year‑over‑year revenue growth measured by the Financial Center P&L.
  • Provide guidance to CSRs on sales and referral processes.
  • Promote customer satisfaction with a friendly, helpful demeanor and professionalism.
  • Own customer issues, answer questions, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and other related policies.
  • Adhere to policies while opening/servicing Retail products, participating in consumer loan and bank‑card processes, and handling the opening/closing of the Financial Center or Bank Mart.
  • Stay current on Retail procedures to mitigate fraud and unnecessary risk.
Minimum Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Required
  • College degree or equivalent work experience; experience in the financial industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop comfort with sales activities aimed at acquiring new households or cross‑selling to existing customers.
  • Ability to perform advanced math functions for credit and financial analysis.
  • Professional appearance and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Retail policies and procedures, using good judgment.
  • SAF E Act registration via Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). NMLS website: mortgage.nationwidelicensingsystem.org
Working Conditions

Normal office environment with extended computer screen time. Training requires travel within the affiliate and occasional travel outside the affiliate for classroom sessions.
