Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist with at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience and required ARRT or RCIS certification for a 13-week contract in a hospital cardiac catheterization lab.
Responsibilities- Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- Performs invasive cardiovascular and radiological imaging procedures including cardiac and vascular cases
- 4x10-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
- Charting performed in Epic
- Assists physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures and acts as scrub assistant, maintaining sterile conditions
- Operates imaging equipment and works in the control room to monitor and document procedure images and events
- Provides patient care under RN supervision, including patient and family education regarding pre- and post-procedure expectations
- Maintains appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures and assists with unit cleanliness and organization
- Completes daily, progress, and discharge documentation per departmental standards and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives
- Radiation badges must be supplied by the vendor
- Candidates who have worked permanently at an Intermountain facility must be separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's degree preferred - ARRT (Registered) or RCIS required; alternatively, Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV-specific certification, RCIS, or RCES required
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association required (must not expire prior to start date)
- Active ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required (must not expire prior to start date)
- Fluoroscopy Certification required
- Active license required if applicable
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
