As an IT Support Specialist, you'll be a key player in handling the company's daily IT needs, including ongoing maintenance, asset tracking, and training employees on essential IT functions and requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for IT systems and a willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first-line technical support to on‑site and remote users via phone, email, and in‑person interactions.
- Monitor the daily performance of computer systems, modifying configurations, utilities, and software default settings as necessary for workstations.
- Deploy new and replacement equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software. Guarantee end‑user satisfaction, accuracy, and timely completion.
- Maintain asset tracking records and collaborate with the IT Manager to develop and manage the equipment replacement schedule.
- Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
- Develop training materials and procedures, and train users in the proper use of hardware or software.
- Stay up‑to‑date with current desktop and LAN technologies through continuing education, journal reviews, web searches, and formal seminar opportunities.
- Coordinate network coverage with the IT Manager. Occasional night and/or weekend work may be required.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- 2 years of relevant technical experience.
- Proficiency in various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new computer systems.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Pleasant and professional demeanor in all client and internal communications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, tailored to the needs of the audienceli>
