Systems Administrator – Systems III

• Lead operating system installation, configuration, monitoring, and support for VMware, Storage, and appliance-based systems
• Provide expert-level end-user support during core hours and rotational on-call support after hours and on weekends
• Lead hardware and software change-management procedures, collaborating with the Change Advisory Board as needed
• Oversee troubleshooting and coordination of computer hardware repairs with vendors
• Analyze server hardware and software requirements, propose upgrades, and devise and test deployment strategies
• Harden servers to security baselines, maintain patch levels, conduct compliance audits, and support Cyber Security Specialists during incident response
• Manage maintenance tasks and inventory records for servers, equipment, and software
• Develop and maintain standard procedures for routine and recurring activities
• Lead backup and restore support, oversee backup-environment health, conduct annual restore tests, and troubleshoot failed database backups and restores
• Coordinate vendor hardware and software upgrades and patches
• Assist end-users with escalated incidents

• U.S. Citizen required
• Must be able to pass federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust (Tier
  4)
• Extensive experience in a multi-platform computer center environment
• Proficiency with VCenter, SAN Management, and iLO/iDRAC
• Ability to quickly acquire, comprehend, and apply knowledge from technical manuals and SOPs
• Expertise with VXRail, vSAN, Windows, Red Hat Linux, VMware, Microsoft Azure, HPE servers, Splunk or Solar Winds Orion, Data Domain backup appliances, Veritas Net Backup, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Ping Identity, Core street HID appliances, OCSP authentication support, RSA SecurID, ADFS, Microsoft Certificate Server, and Microsoft KMS
• Knowledge of LDAP, DHCP, and DNS
• Proficiency in Perl, Power Shell, Windows scripting, and standard shell scripts
• Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and kneel to move equipment and set up workstations
• Must present acceptable identification for customer badging and site access, such as a REAL
  -compliant driver license, U.S. Passport, or other approved GSA document

Demonstrates expertise in operating system installation, configuration, and support, with a strong focus on VMware and multi-platform environments. Proficient in managing server hardware and software, ensuring compliance, and providing exceptional end-user support.
