Position Summary
As a Produce Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Produce and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
Responsibilities- Lead the Produce and Floral team to achieve sales and meet the club’s business plan.
- Communicate department goals, execute company programs, and advocate for members, associates, and the company.
- Maintain in‑depth knowledge of floor, backroom operations, quality, inventory, sanitation, equipment usage, safety and compliance.
- Manage seasonality of items, priorities, and training.
- Collaborate with associates to provide resources, share knowledge, and train the team.
- Leverage digital tools to plan, drive sales, improve shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
- Drive operational excellence: plan profitability, maintain clean, safe work areas, uphold staffing and audit standards, and display merchandise.
- Teach and train the team, develop skills, encourage career growth, and source new talent.
- Communicate and implement processes, analyze information, monitor progress, and drive continuous improvement.
- Promote and support compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics and integrity.
- Build and strengthen the team, foster a culture of belonging, and support associates’ well‑being.
- Act with integrity, support Walmart’s regenerative goals, and serve members and stakeholders.
- Strive for excellence, drive continuous improvements, and adapt to change.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6 months experience working in a fresh production department or supervising a team.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Commitment to completing all required training and assessments within the prescribed timeframe.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising a team.
- Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
The hourly wage range for this position is $21.50 to $29.50. Additional premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour depending on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed.
