Welder
Join our team in the manufacturing of various steel products for commercial and industrial construction projects. Perform MIG welding on structural steel beams with thicknesses ranging from 1 to 3 inches. Engage in the fabrication of parts, assembly of beams, and operation of overhead cranes as needed. Utilize hand tools to grind welds and conduct visual inspections to ensure welds are laid correctly.
You will also operate forklifts, read and use blueprints/schematics, and lift up to 70 lbs as required.
- Perform MIG welding on structural steel beams with thicknesses of 1-3 inches.
- Fabricate parts and assemble beams.
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as needed.
- Use hand tools to grind welds and ensure quality through visual inspections.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Lift up to 70 lbs as necessary.
- 3-5 years of MIG welding experience.
- At least 1 year of structural steel welding experience.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with forklift operation.
- Proficiency in general labor and production tasks.
- Experience in paint preparation and yard work.

Work EnvironmentWork primarily in a production area, with frequent exposure to outdoor conditions due to bay doors opening and closing. Majority of the time will be spent outside, requiring candidates to dress appropriately for the elements, including wearing steel-toed boots, pants, and preferably long-sleeve shirts.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Billings, MT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 – $27.00/hr.
