Forklift Yard Worker/Paint

Join our team as a Forklift Yard Worker/Paint where you will operate various sit-down forklifts throughout the yard. You will play a crucial role in receiving new steel for welders, setting up pallets for intake, and palletizing finished products for shipment. Additionally, you will assist in inventory counts and stage products for truck pickups. Your responsibilities also include laying out finished products in the paint area using hand, forklift, or hoist, and providing assistance in other areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of sit-down forklifts across the yard.
• Receive and prepare new steel for the welding department.
• Set up pallets in the yard for the intake area.
• Palletize finished products for outgoing shipments.
• Stage products for truck pickups.
• Assist in inventory counts.
• Lay out all finished products in the paint area using hand, forklift, or hoist.
• Provide assistance in any other areas as needed.

Essential Skills

• 1 year of sit-down forklift experience.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• General labor experience.
• Experience in paint preparation and yard work.

Work Environment

Work hours are from 5am to 1:30pm, with potential overtime after the shift and on Saturdays if needed. The role involves working mostly outdoors, so dressing according to the weather is essential. The paint area has bay doors that frequently open to the outside. Candidates must wear steel-toed boots, pants, and are recommended to wear long sleeve shirts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Billings, MT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
