Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician supports a high-volume production line by performing hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical repairs, conducting thorough testing and troubleshooting, and carrying out preventative maintenance to ensure reliable and efficient operations. When maintenance needs are low, this role also assists with the production of goods, contributing directly to manufacturing output.
Responsibilities- Perform hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical repairs on production line equipment to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.
- Test and troubleshoot production lines to identify issues, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
- Assist in the production of goods when maintenance tasks are not required, supporting overall manufacturing throughput.
- Safely lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds as part of maintenance and production activities.
- Follow established safety procedures and maintenance protocols while working in a production line/manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with production staff to schedule maintenance activities and communicate equipment status.
- Experience performing electrical repairs and basic electrical troubleshooting on production equipment.
- Hands-on maintenance technician experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production lines.
- Minimum of 6 months of production maintenance experience.
- Capability to safely lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily duties.
- Strong attention to detail when testing and troubleshooting equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience working on high-volume production lines.
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices and schedules.
- Comfort working with a variety of tools and equipment used in manufacturing maintenance.
- Willingness to assist with general production tasks when maintenance needs are low.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for early morning start times.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a production line/manufacturing environment, working around machinery and equipment in an active, hands-on setting. Typical start times are 7:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m., with shifts running until approximately 1:00 p.m., and the option for part-time or full-time hours depending on operational needs. The environment involves regular interaction with production staff, adherence to safety protocols, and physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Billings, MT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
