Special Olympics Montana is a nonprofit organization that provides year-round, statewide programs of physical fitness, sports training, and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and closely related developmental disabilities.
The Communications Coordinator plays a key role in promoting Special Olympics Montana programs, events, and athlete stories within the Yellowstone Valley Area. This volunteer supports outreach effort by managing local communications, social media, and public relations to raise awareness and engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and share content for newsletters, social media, and local media outlets.
- Coordinate with regional staff and volunteers to gather stories, photos, and event updates.
- Maintain consistent and positive Special Olympics brand voice across all communications.
- Assist with event promotion and coverage.
New coordinator orientation and ongoing training provided by SOMT Outreach and Marketing Communications staff.
