BMVP - VISTA Leader
The Billings Metro VISTA Project (BMVP) is seeking qualified Ameri Corps or Peace Corps alumni to serve as its next VISTA Leader! Established in 2009 in partnership with the Corporation for National and Community Service, the BMVP has a legacy of deploying 290 Ameri Corps VISTA Volunteers to expand the capacity of 60 community organizations. VISTA projects address systemic poverty and homelessness in Billings, where over 13,000 residents experience poverty and hundreds face homelessness daily, including families with children.
This is an indirect service, support-focused role that aims to create long-term sustainability. Key responsibilities include strengthening infrastructure and managing initiatives across four core areas: economic opportunity, healthy futures, education, and veterans/military affairs. The VISTA Leader will utilize their foundational service experience to streamline operations, design sustainable poverty-relief systems, and guide Ameri Corps VISTA Volunteers to enhance local agencies' service delivery.
