Starting Wage DOE: $37.11 - $46.39

• Direct all nursing activities related to procedures; evaluate and complete assessment of patient needs to provide supportive care before, during and after surgery; maintain complete and accurate records.
• Recognize and interpret symptoms indicative of changes in condition; communicate pertinent information to co-workers; collaborate with the health care team to provide optimal care.
• Assist in patient education during all phases; ensure informed signed consents are completed prior to administration of sedation.
• Prepare procedure records; reconcile medication history; review and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results to identify contraindications or implications.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment; manage inventory of supplies and medications; assist with post-procedure inventory control and OR restocking; assist in crash cart maintenance and defibrillator checks.
• Provide oversight and direction to other Surgery Center personnel; assist with orientation and training; identify own professional growth needs and meet educational requirements; participate in in-service opportunities and staff meetings.
• Maintain competency in safety standards; adhere to national patient safety standards; anticipate problems and maximize safety in the Surgery Center.
• Incorporate Magnetism principles to transform work environments and enhance quality of care.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet needs of the Surgery Center; manage Pre Op/Post Op/PAT Lab; administer drugs and IV procedures safely; initiate orders and follow anesthesia protocol.
• Maintain ACLS certification; label and prepare specimens for laboratory; operate in OR and sterile technique environments; assist with patient transfers to and from operating and recovery areas.
