Position Overview

Billings Clinic is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a background in Neurosurgery for Locum Tenens coverage beginning March 2026. This role supports a busy neurosurgical service at the system’s flagship medical center and is ideal for an APP comfortable managing complex neurological patients in an inpatient and procedural environment.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Inpatient neurosurgical care and daily rounding
• Pre‑ and post‑operative patient management
• Coordination of care with neurosurgeons, hospitalists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Evaluation and management of neurosurgical consults
• Documentation and order entry within Cerner EMR
• Participation in service‑specific workflows and protocols

Compensation

• $170 Per Hour

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Neurosurgery experience required
• Active Montana license or IMLC
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• ABLS, ATLS, and PALS not required

• Strong clinical judgment and comfort in an acute care setting
