Job Details• Shift: Day, Evenings, Nights, Weekends
• Employment Status:
Full-Time (.75 or greater)
• Hours per Pay Period: 1.00 = 80 hours every two weeks (Exempt)
• Starting Wage: DOE
- Support and model behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission and philosophy.
- Examine patients and perform comprehensive physical examinations, compile medical history, and record findings.
- Administer or order diagnostic tests such as x‑ray, laboratory, and other ancillary services, and interpret results.
- Perform therapeutic procedures—including injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, and infection management—within the scope of licensure and supervisory physician expertise.
- Formulate diagnoses, develop, implement, and monitor patient care plans, record progress notes, and assist in continuity of care.
- Instruct and counsel patients and families regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens.
- Refer patients to other health‑care providers and appropriate sources of care as necessary.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and off‑hour rounding as required by the department.
- Identify personal development needs, set goals, and meet mandatory organizational and departmental requirements.
- Utilize performance‑improvement principles to assess and enhance quality and participate in program development and marketing.
- Maintain competency in all relevant safety standards, environmental, and agency regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet departmental needs.
- Assist the physician in all aspects of surgical procedures, including instruments, supplies, equipment, and retraction.
- Maintain appropriate theoretical and clinical skills, apply laboratory values, radiologic findings, and pharmacologic knowledge specific to surgical needs.
- Perform wound exposure, suturing, hemostasis, and tissue handling procedures as training permits under direct supervision.
- Assist with post‑operative follow‑up care in hospital or clinic; instruct and counsel patients and families on prescribed regimens.
- Adhere to universal and sterile field protocols during operative procedures; assist with room flow and instrumentation handling.
- Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program.
- Current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Board Certification/License as Physician Assistant.
- Approved to practice in Montana or Wyoming by the Board of Medical Examiners.

- Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program.
- Current Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner with a current Montana and/or Wyoming Board of Nursing License as an advanced practice nurse.
- Current Montana and/or Wyoming license as a Registered Nurse as appropriate to the service area.
- Additional unit‑specific requirements are listed above.
- Healthcare Provider CPR Certification; additional CPR certifications may be required.
