Job Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The RN utilizes technology, evidence‑based practice, and team coordination to deliver high quality care.
Program Overview – November 2026 New Graduate CohortDesigned for new graduate RNs with less than one year of experience, this residency provides structured clinical training, simulation, case‑study reviews, monthly learning meetings, and dedicated mentorship to build confidence and competence in the first RN role.

Assess: Perform thorough assessment of physical, social, and psychological status; gather information from the interdisciplinary team.
Plan: Use assessment data and critical thinking to collaboratively develop individualized plans of care; involve patients, families, and the team.
Implement: Direct and coordinate the care team, ensuring care is provided in line with the plan, guidelines, and licensure provisions; manage resources and patient flow.
Evaluate: Review patient responses to interventions, adjust plans of care, and reassess as needed.
Professionalism: Uphold nursing standards, ethical and legal requirements, accurate documentation, and professional conduct.
Qualifications- Minimum: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN); RN license (or ability to obtain by start date);
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain). - Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); strong communication and teamwork skills; commitment to patient‑centered care.
Proficient visual and manual skills to operate monitors, manipulate equipment, and assist with patient transfers; ability to lift and carry supplies, assist with ambulation, and maintain situational awareness in a busy environment.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $38.37 per hour, with potential increases based on experience (maximum $56.17 per hour).

Location & ScheduleWorkplace: St. Vincent Regional Hospital – Billings, MT.
Schedule: Full‑time, variable shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays) – 36 hours per week.
