About the Role

You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including managing informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
- Manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results.
- Evaluate donor reactions during the facility visit, following SOPs for medical emergencies and for the development of the Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when unable to determine findings or when guidance on medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility, is needed.
- Support the HepatitisB and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health or ER, following EHS guidance.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program from a state‑authorized institution.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Successfully complete FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Minimum of two years experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Familiarity with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment.
Location:
USA – MT – Billings Hourly wage range: $33.44 – $45.98. The actual hourly wage offered may depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications or other factors and will meet state or local minimum wage requirements.
