Position Summary:
Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch (YBGR) Registered Nurses (RNs) play a critical role in supporting the medical and psychiatric well-being of youth in our care. RNs provide direct nursing assessments, dispense medications safely, and assist with the evaluation, treatment, and referral of individual health and psychological concerns. They ensure the implementation of medical treatment plans and maintain clear and accurate medical records.

Starting Salary Range:
Salary reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant's education and relevant experience.
- Current Montana LNP license range is $23.02 - $25.91 per hour
- Current Montana RN license range is $31.69 - $35.67 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Required Skills and Qualifications
Required:
Associate Degree in Nursing from accredited nursing program. Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in nursing from accredited nursing program.
Experience:
- Preferred:
One (1) year of professional experience in pediatrics working with patients diagnosed mental or emotional issues.
- License to operate passenger vehicle
- Required:
Current license as RN or LPN in the state of Montana or compact state
Skills and Abilities

- Ability to competently perform duties of nurse within the appropriate scope of practice for license.
- Display regular, predictable and reliable attendance at work.
- Ability to relate and build rapport with youth while serving as a positive role model for the youth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills, organizational skills and flexibility
- Excellent active listening skills
- Good computer skills and able to quickly learn and use YBGR selected software solutions.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills
Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana.
