Job DetailsShift: Day
Employment Status: Full-Time (.75 or greater)
Hours per Pay Period: 0.75 = 60 hours every two weeks (Non-Exempt)
Starting Wage: $37.11 - $46.39
- Direct all nursing activities related to the procedures performed. Evaluate and complete assessment of patient needs to provide supportive care before, during and after surgery and maintain complete and accurate records. Recognize and interpret symptoms indicative of changes in patient condition. Communicate pertinent information to co-workers and work collaboratively with all members of the health care team to provide optimal care throughout the patient’s experience.
- Assist in patient education during all phases of the patient’s experience. Ensure informed signed consents are completed prior to administration of sedation.
- Prepare all records pertaining to the procedure. Reconcile medication history, review and interpret a variety of diagnostic tests (e.g., EKG, O2 oximetry, radiology exams, etc.) and laboratory results to identify any potential contraindications or implications.
- Maintain equipment and supplies including cleaning and disinfection, operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment. Participate in inventory control and cleaning/restocking of operating rooms.
- Provide oversight to other Surgery Center technical and ancillary personnel, orient and train staff, and maintain professional growth and development.
- Maintain competency in organizational and regulatory safety standards, adhere to national patient safety standards, identify and address safety issues and minimize risks.
- Incorporate the 14 forces of Magnetism into workplace transformation and quality of nursing care.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the Surgery Center.
- Associate (or Diploma) RNs with less than 5 years of RN experience are eligible if they commit to completing their Bachelor of Nursing degree within 4 years after hiring. The organization may provide financial assistance.
- Current Montana license as a Registered Nurse.
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. All required licenses and certifications must be in good standing.
