PRN Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
About this RoleThe PRN CNM will provide patient care in a women’s health clinic, collaborating with a team of midwives, advanced practice providers, the MFM team, OB/GYNs, and the Labor and Delivery department. The role includes antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care, GYN and primary care, and occasional Level 3 NICU duties. EPIC EMR is used system‑wide.
Location & HoursBillings Downtown Clinic, Intermountain Health St. Vincent Regional Hospital – Billings, MT.
Pay range: $57.33 – $88.47 per hour (actual rate dependent on experience). Shifts are typically 8‑hour clinic days and 24‑hour call shifts.
Responsibilities- See and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Engage in frequent verbal communication with patient care providers, patients, and visitors to understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues, especially during emergencies.
- Use manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy, including frequent computer use and typing for documentation, accessing information, and medication preparation.
- Lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
- Assist with transporting/ambulating patients and with obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
- Stand in a stationary position for extended periods as required.
- Current ACNM certification.
- Ability to obtain Montana RN and CNM licenses with prescriptive authority in MT and WY.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
- Active Montana medical license or ability to obtain one.
- Successful completion of Intermountain Health’s credentialing process.
- Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA license or ability to obtain one.
- Passion for women’s health.
- Experience in L&D as a nurse preferred.
- 3 to 5 years experience as a Midwife preferred.
- Availability for PRN work with a flexible, adaptable schedule.
