Emergency care travel nurse

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process, technology, therapeutic interventions, evidence‑based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members.

As an iFlex RN you will support multiple sites across our network, delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care across various units. You must be adaptable, collaborative, and critical‑thinking, while maintaining flexibility to float to other units as needed.

• Assess physical, psychological, and social status of patients, including developmental and cognitive abilities.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to direct and coordinate care.
• Develop individualized care plans based on assessment data and clinical judgment.
• Provide or delegate patient care in accordance with care plans, guidelines, and licensure.
• Prepare patients for discharge, including education, referrals, and follow‑up care.
• Evaluate patient responses and adapt interventions accordingly.
• Maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards and document care accurately.

• Competitive pay aligned with local and national travel RN rates: $58–$65 per hour (flat rate, adjusted quarterly).
• Housing reimbursement (prorated monthly) for assignments more than 50 miles from home.

• Variable shifts.
• Full‑time hours during a 3‑month assignment; 2–3 assignments per calendar year required.

• Approximately 2 years of recent ICU or Med/Surg experience.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

• Expected to fill shifts cent Regional Hospital and to float to other units if not needed at the assigned facility.
• Expected to accept assignments in any Intermountain region and work at any Intermountain facility across Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada.

• See and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
• Frequent verbal communication with patient care providers, patients, and visitors; rapid auditory comprehension of alarms and issues in emergency situations.
• Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment with precision; frequent computer use and typing.
• Lift and transfer patients; lift and carry supplies up to heavy weights.
• Walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients; push/pull gurneys and portable equipment.
• May stand in a stationary position for extended periods.
