Full‑time nursing position at Billings Clinic Hospital, located in Billings, Montana.

Shift: Day, Evenings, Nights, Weekends

Employment Status: Full‑Time (.75 or greater)

Hours per Pay Period: 0.90 (72 hours every two weeks, Non‑Exempt)

Starting Wage (DOE): $38.91 – $61.21

Role Summary

Under general supervision, the RN utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and applies clinical skills to promote and maintain patient health. The RN incorporates evidence‑based practices consistent with national standards, assumes responsibility for quality nursing care, directs the plan of care, and maintains professionalism.

• Utilize a holistic approach and evidence‑based nursing practices to integrate the nursing process into goal‑directed plan of care for the patient.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to execute an appropriate plan of care based on patient needs.
• Ensure complete, accurate, and timely entry into the patient medical record as indicated by patient condition and documentation guidelines.
• Adhere to Billings Clinic safety standards, policies, and practices; anticipate and identify problems and safety issues, then initiate appropriate action.
• Maintain appropriate skill/knowledge and apply relevant equipment specific to area, pharmacology, and laboratory values based on disease process or physiological status.
• Utilize evidence‑based practice supported by nursing research within the specialty area.
• Apply performance improvement principles to assess and improve the quality of patient/resident care, incorporating the Magnet Model to transform the work environment and quality of nursing care.
• Assume responsibility for own professional growth and development; meet all system/departmental educational requirements.
• Demonstrate collaborative, supportive, and caring behaviors in communication with patients’ families, visitors, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Consideration given to the appropriateness of care based on the population‑specific needs of the patient.

Education

• 2‑Year / Associate's Degree (ASN) – Associate (or Diploma) RNs hired into this position must commit to completing their Bachelor of Nursing degree within 4 years of their date of hire. Billings Clinic will provide financial assistance for the cost.
