The Contract Critical Access RN Manager leads nursing staff on a 13‑week assignment near Billings, Montana, overseeing ER, Med/Surg, and LTC care to ensure patient safety and operational excellence. The role involves supervising daily activities, coordinating float assignments, and maintaining compliance with state nursing regulations.
Key Responsibilities:Lead nursing staff in Emergency, Med/Surg, and Long‑Term Care settings
Supervise daily activities and enforce hospital policies
Coordinate float assignments across departments as needed
Monitor patient progress, document assessments, and update records promptly
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design individualized care plans
Ensure effective communication across departments
Maintain compliance with state board regulations and licensing requirements
Provide leadership and mentorship to staff
Registered Nurse license in good standing with applicable state board
Minimum 3 years of recent experience in ER, Med/Surg, and LTC settings
Demonstrated managerial or supervisory experience in nursing
Valid BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
Ability to work more than 40 hours per week, including weekends and nights
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to float between departments as required
Physical capability to perform nursing duties
Skills:
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
