Registered Nurse
The position requires a Registered Nurse experienced in Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum care. Candidates will take couplets of patients and float to Pediatrics and NICU as needed. 3-4 call shifts per 8-week block are required. Candidates will assist with high-risk deliveries and care for antepartum patients, if needed. Experience with various skills such as administration of blood products, neonatal resuscitation, and pain management is essential.
The candidate should demonstrate competency in amniocentesis, assisting with vaginal deliveries, and postpartum hemorrhage management. Familiarity with maternal and neonatal safety protocols is important. The role involves education and support for breastfeeding and circumcision care for parents. Candidates must be able to manage complex situations involving cardiac complications, diabetes, and preeclampsia. Floating to different units may be required depending on patient needs.
Successful candidates will work in a collaborative environment with interdisciplinary support teams. All work must align with established patient care protocols and policies.
