Health Unit Coordinator

Intermountain Health -  - Responsibilities:
Facilitate unit organization and patient care by coordinating patient, nursing, physician, and other healthcare provider office and clerical activities;
Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer of patients, answer patient call lights, schedule tests and treatments, provide access control to visitor entrances, perform telemetry duties, and may deliver medications to the RN;
Answer unit telephones, disseminate information, process, organize, file and maintain patient and unit records, transcribe physician orders, act as unit receptionist, and may organize, stock, and maintain supplies on the unit;
Collaborate with nursing leadership and charge nurse, demonstrate teamwork and communication, provide excellent customer service to patients and families, physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
